This Privacy Policy explains how PathPro AI ("PathPro AI", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PathPro AI mobile app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from that provider to create your account.
• Career profile & questionnaire responses — the answers you provide (interests, strengths, goals, education, work-style preferences, and similar) that we use to generate your career matches and learning path.
• Content you submit to AI features — where you choose to use them, this may include résumé text, job descriptions, and cover-letter details you enter to tailor résumés, draft cover letters, or prepare for interviews.
• Subscription information — your subscription status and purchase history. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we do not collect or store your full payment-card details.
• Usage & device data — how you interact with the app, plus device and diagnostic information (such as device model, operating-system version, app version, and crash or error logs) used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized career recommendations and learning paths
• Power AI features you choose to use (résumé tailoring, cover letters, interview prep)
• Create and manage your account and subscription
• Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service
• Send important updates about your account and respond to support requests

3. AI Processing

Our AI features are powered by OpenAI. When you use them, the relevant inputs — such as your questionnaire responses and any résumé or job-description text you provide — are sent to OpenAI to generate results and returned to you. OpenAI processes this data as our service provider. Per OpenAI's API terms, data submitted through its API is not used to train its models. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information you do not wish to be processed this way.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers below, solely to operate the Service and under their respective privacy and data-processing terms:

• Supabase — hosts our database and authentication; your account and app data are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• OpenAI — processes the inputs to our AI features to generate results (see "AI Processing" above).
• RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and validates purchase status. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google.
• Mixpanel — product analytics to understand how the app is used.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting to help us diagnose and fix issues.
• Apple & Google — authentication when you choose "Sign in with Apple" or "Continue with Google", and payment processing for subscriptions.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sensitive API keys are kept server-side and are not shipped in the app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we regularly review and update our security practices.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time directly in the app under Profile → Delete Account, or by emailing us at privacy@pathproai.app. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our active systems, and from backups within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications

8. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and analyze traffic. In the app, we use analytics SDKs (such as Mixpanel) to understand usage patterns. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and limit ad tracking through your device settings.

9. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process and store data in the United States and other countries. Where your information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this Policy and applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

PathPro AI is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
